Step-by-Step Process to Change Password in NetSuite

To change your password in NetSuite, navigate to the settings page. If you do not find the option, then review your current role permissions. If your role lacks the necessary access, consider switching to another role or contact your administrator for assistance. 

Step 1: Go to the Settings Portlet

  • Go to the ‘settings’ portlet from your home page. By default, it is located on the left-hand side, and you will need to scroll down to access it. 
  • If your home page or dashboard is customized, then you will need to find where the settings portlet is located. 
  • From the settings portlet, click ‘change password.’

Step 2: Change Password

  • To log in to your NetSuite account, enter the ‘current password’ in the given field. 

Note: You will be logged out of your NetSuite account for 30 minutes if you enter 5 incorrect passwords consecutively. 

  • Enter your ‘new password’ in the given field. 
  • While you are entering your new password, the ‘password criteria’ will provide feedback. Ensure that you meet all the given criteria. 
  • In the ‘confirm new password’ field, re-enter your new password. 
  • Click ‘save.’

Note: You will receive an email notification each time your password is changed. This will notify you when there have been fraudulent attempts to change your password.

You can also reset your password by clicking on ‘forgot your password’ on the login page, and then entering your email to receive the reset password link. You will also get a ‘change your password’ link via email when your password is about to expire.
