What does Salonist CRM do?
Salonist is an all-in-one salon software designed to streamline daily operations for various salon types, including hair, massage, beauty, and nail salons. This solution efficiently manages customer contact, online appointments, and more, ensuring smooth and effective management.
Perfect for modern salon owners aiming to enhance their business, Salonist provides the tools to professionalize your operations and foster growth. However, that’s the view from the outside. In this review, I’ll examine Salonist more closely to determine if its CRM can genuinely benefit your business, if it’s a reliable choice, and if it’s worth the investment.
Key features of Salonist
Online booking & Appointments
There is a big chance that owners of Salons that are looking for CRM software for their business are looking for a software that can facilitate their bookings as well. Salonist offers a centralized booking systems that manage appointments both online and offline. This prevent double bookings and makes it easier for customers to simply make their appointment through the website of your salon.
Automated reminders
Are you looking to reduce no-shows? With automated reminders, you can send emails or text messages to your customers the day before their appointment, preventing them from forgetting. Personally, these reminders have saved me a few times when I almost forgot about an appointment made weeks earlier.
Additionally, these reminders can notify clients when it’s been a while since their last visit, encouraging them to book another appointment. Such smart, automated features can significantly increase your revenue without any extra effort on your part.
Client Management
Customer Relationship Management is all about client or customer management. And that is wat Salonist software is doing. When writing a Salonist review I really want to look how the software lets you manage your customers in a better and more efficient way.
So what does Salonist offer? The feature that I like most about Salonist’s customer managment is: Customer Tracking. Salonist’s customer tracking helps you provide a more personalized experience by keeping important details about your customers. It tracks their history, total visits, spending, membership status, and favorite staff.
Client tracking allows you to serve your customers more effectively. Moreover, when I look at this feature from a commercial perspective, I see numerous opportunities to maximize revenue from each customer.
PoS – Payment processing
A Point of Sale or payment processing system might not be a priority for all salons when comparing CRM systems. However, from my point of view, it’s always better to centralize as many activities as possible into one system. By integrating your cashier system into your Salon CRM, you can track and analyze revenues much more effectively.
Salonist allows you to integrate PayPal, Stripe, Clover, and other payment processors for handling transactions. You can also send invoices and payment requests, which is very handy for securing upfront payments and often prevents no-shows. In my opinion, the PoS system at Salonist is quite suitable for the average beauty, nail, or hair salon.
Inventory Management
For salons managing inventory, Salonist serves as a comprehensive solution. Whether you sell products in-store or online through your webstore, Salonist ensures your inventory is always up-to-date in real-time. This prevents situations where a product, like shampoo, is sold online while the last item was just purchased in your salon.
Available integrations
Integration can make your life much easier, but Salonist unfortunately offers a limited number of integrations. They do support some well-known platforms like QuickBooks, Mailchimp, WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify.
If you use these platforms, you’re in luck. However, many integrations are still not available. I find this disappointing, as companies are increasingly part of an ecosystem of online apps. The more integrations available, the more convenient it is for your salon.
Is Salonist CRM Easy to Use?
Based on my experience, Salonist is quite user-friendly. It is designed so that the average salon employee can navigate the software with ease.
I find it easy to use, although sometimes it can take a bit of searching to find the specific features you’re looking for. The great thing about Salonist is that they provide plenty of resources, such as how-to videos, to help with performing various tasks or activities.
