What does Pipeline CRM do?

Pipeline CRM is a software solution designed to streamline your sales process. Imagine it as a central hub for managing all your potential customers, or “leads,” as they move through the different stages of becoming paying clients. Pipeline caters specifically to sales teams, helping them visualize their progress, collaborate effectively, and ultimately close more deals.

One of Pipeline’s key strengths is its user-friendly interface, often described as a familiar spreadsheet layout on steroids. I find this makes it easy for teams to adapt to, even for those less comfortable with complex software.

But Pipeline goes beyond basic data organization. Its unique features include sales forecasting and built-in automation tools, empowering you to make data-driven decisions and free up your team’s time for what they do best: selling.

Let me delve deeper into these functionalities and see how Pipeline CRM can transform your sales pipeline from a scattered mess to a smooth-running engine for growth.

Key Features of Pipeline CRM

Here are the key features of Pipeline CRM:

Pipeline Management

21/5/24, Pipeline CRM, Pipeline Management

Pipeline CRM helps you visualize and understand your sales pipeline in order to grow your business. It provides tools to organize and develop customer relationships. Managers gain visibility into each stage of the team’s sales pipeline. Users can track multiple sales workflows for different processes. I feel you can easily manage each stage of your pipeline with these features:

  • Multiple Pipelines: Pipeline CRM lets you handle various sales processes for your different products and services. Imagine it as a tool that keeps track of all your deals at every stage, from the very beginning until after the sale is complete. The basic plan allows you to manage two separate sales pipelines, while the Grow plan offers you up to five.
  • Start your day informed: Pipeline CRM equips you with the information you need to hit the ground running each morning. The Morning Coffee Report is a daily email that delivers a quick snapshot of yesterday’s wins and key metrics to focus on for the day ahead. No time for emails? The Home tab offers a centralized view of your crucial sales information anytime. In one place, you can see new leads, track your team’s performance, and gain all the insights you need to make informed decisions and drive sales.
  • Powerful Reporting: Compare the performance of individual salespeople to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Gain insights into upcoming deals and forecast future sales to stay ahead of the curve. Monitor your team’s progress against sales quotas and identify any roadblocks to ensure everyone reaches their goals. Analyze patterns in successful deals to identify what’s working and refine your sales approach for even better results.

Lead Management

21/5/24, Pipeline CRM, Lead Management

Pipeline CRM offers lead management features that help you manage and capture leads for efficiency. I find this option to be outstanding.

Pipeline CRM streamlines your workday with its centralized Home tab. Think of it as your personal sales command center. This tab provides a daily agenda tailored to your specific needs, highlighting crucial tasks and upcoming deadlines.

With all your essential sales information at your fingertips, the Home tab empowers you to prioritize your outreach efforts strategically. It guides you toward the leads that require your immediate attention, maximizing your impact and driving sales results.

It also comes with priority lists. Keep track of and prioritize critical items within your pipeline with priority lists. These lists highlight essential tasks such as Leads No One Has Contacted in 7 Days, Deals Expected to Close This Week, or Deals Closing With No Next Task Set.

By monitoring and sharing these lists with your team, you enhance their effectiveness and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

I like that you can enhance your marketing strategy by gaining insight into your lead sources. Identify the origin of each lead by tagging them accordingly or utilize our customizable web-to-leads forms to capture their information directly from your website.

Sales Team Management

21/5/24, Pipeline CRM, Sales Team Management

Pipeline CRM assists in directing your teams and establishing impactful goals for sales personnel.

Pipeline CRM keeps your team on the same page with clear-cut user permissions. Managers have full control, while standard users can view and edit most data. Read-only access is also available for those who just need to stay informed. This ensures everyone has the information they need, without compromising data integrity.

You can generate an infinite array of personalized activity categories to monitor the daily tasks performed by your sales representatives. Select activities tailored to your business needs and those that significantly contribute to closing more deals. Additionally, you can organize your custom activities into groups for convenient access.

You can also establish objectives for your sales team and begin steering the trajectory of your company. Leaderboards monitor each team member’s role in achieving company or team goals. I believe that setting and achieving these objectives transforms the sales team into a strategic asset for business expansion.

Automated Email Tools

21/5/24, Pipeline CRM, Automated Email

Pipeline CRM also comes with automated email tools. With this feature, you can automate sales and email marketing. You can elevate lead engagement through automation, ensuring the precise delivery of tailored messages to the appropriate recipients at optimal moments.

You can also get back to inactive leads and contacts to unlock fresh opportunities and foster business growth. Craft targeted and personalized re-engagement initiatives aimed at reigniting interest and reactivating dormant leads.

With this feature, you can also optimize your email list management with expert-level control over recipient selection and contact removal. Ensure precise audience targeting and message delivery through meticulous management of advanced rules and conditions.

Pipeline CRM Customer Service

I found that Pipeline CRM does a decent job in terms of customer support. Even though there is a lack of phone support, users can contact them via an email. If you’d like to see how Pipeline CRM works, you can request a demo by emailing [email protected]. For sales and support inquiries, you can reach out to them at [email protected]. Lastly, a contact form can be filled which can be used to submit any queries you may have.

Is Pipeline CRM Easy to Use?

Pipeline CRM is designed with an intuitive interface that makes it easy to use, even for those who are not familiar with complex software. It is described as having a familiar spreadsheet layout, which should be easy for most users to pick up.

Here are some of the features that contribute to Pipeline CRM’s ease of use:

  • List views: Pipeline CRM uses list views that provide the usability and familiarity of a spreadsheet, with features that make tracking and managing sales almost effortless.
  • Hindsight: The Hindsight list view offers visibility into any changes in your sales pipeline over time, allowing you to track progress with a couple of clicks.
  • Stars: Stars allow you to filter, sort, and share custom data views so important information is always accessible and organized across teams.

However, some users have found the user interface of Pipeline CRM to be lacking, particularly on the iPad app. They feel that there is room for improvement in terms of design and usability.

Pipeline offers a condensed onboarding experience through their Pipeline Onboarding Bootcamp, conducted via live Zoom sessions. This bootcamp, comprising three sessions, covers key aspects of using the Pipeline CRM effectively.

Participants learn to customize Pipeline irrespective of admin status, ensuring alignment with organizational needs. Insights into tasks, events, activities, and reporting functionalities enable efficient team management. Tailored to user preferences, the final session provides additional tools and strategies for confident CRM utilization.

All sessions are recorded for reference, and a PDF document with resources is shared afterward, facilitating continuous learning and proficiency enhancement.
