What Does Snov.io Sales CRM Do?
Snov.io is a basic CRM that focuses on generating and nurturing leads. While it does offer CRM features for small businesses, the tool comes into its own for its email marketing and sales outreach.
Snov.io CRM offers valuable features such as email verification, bounce-rate tracking, templates, and schedules to help ensure the success of your marketing campaigns. The tool also has automation features that are ideal for sales outreach.
The tool also includes lead generation and management tools to ensure that once you get a lead, your teams can nurture it through to the sale. You can create multiple pipelines to manage your leads effectively and based on your business process.
Let’s take a deeper look at how the tool operates as we continue with this Snov.io CRM review.
Key Features of Snov.io CRM
The success of good CRM tools lies in their feature set and the value that these features provide your sales and marketing teams. Snov.io isn’t purely a CRM, although it includes a sales CRM with all its plans.
It should be noted that the CRM itself isn’t as robust as some of the competitors, but it makes up for this by offering robust lead generation and cold emailing features.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the CRM features of Snov.io.
Multiple Pipelines
With Snov.io, you can create up to 20 different pipelines, each with up to 100 stages. This means that if your business offers multiple products or services, you can easily create independent pipelines for each one.
It also means that if your company does frequent email campaigns, you can even create a pipeline for each campaign, which can help you monitor the success of your different campaigns.
Your pipelines are also visible in a simple Kanban-style dashboard. This makes it easy to see exactly where each lead is in the pipeline and what needs to happen next. Seeing all of your leads at a glance is essential to ensure that no leads are missed or forgotten.
You can see the specifics of that contact by clicking on a lead in the pipeline. Here, you’ll be able to see the status of the lead, any important notes, and completed and upcoming tasks. You can also create tasks directly from the pipeline by clicking on a lead.
Customization is also a breeze with Snov.io. In addition to creating custom pipelines, you can create custom fields. These features combine to create a platform that enables users to recreate their unique workflows within the CRM and adjust them as the tool improves sales and marketing processes.
Deal Loss Analytics
One of the handy features I noticed on Snov.io is the ‘Deal Loss Reason.’ While losses are a normal part of being in sales, Snov.io turns this into a learning opportunity by providing better insights into why the loss potentially occurred so that these reasons don’t repeat themselves.
The feature isn’t automatically active when you first create your account. However, it can be enabled from within your settings. Once activated, this feature will apply to all of your pipelines. You can also set optional reasons why the deal was lost.
This makes it easy for your sales team to move lost deals to the lost stage and a box will automatically pop up where the salesperson needs to select the reason for the loss.
Once activated, you’ll also be able to draw reports to show the reason for losses. Seeing an overview of your losses will help teams understand where they lose most of their clients. From here, they can make any necessary changes or improvements to increase sales.
While I find this feature easy enough to use – once I found it – at this stage, you aren’t able to add any notes to the reasons. This means you can only pick one of the preset reasons without providing additional information or explanations.
I hope they’ll be able to add this in a future update. I think being able to provide more details, such as the techniques you tried, etc., can add even more value.
Email Finder Extension
The Email Finder Chrome extension is an exceptionally useful feature for lead generation and provides a good starting point for cold emailing.
With this extension enabled, you can find and save leads from company websites. You can also collect bulk leads through Google search results. With the extension, you can visit review sites like Yelp to collect company data and email addresses.
The tool can also be used on certain social media platforms, like Twitter (now X), to collect email addresses from their profiles.
While I find this extremely helpful, I also have some concerns regarding the ethics of this practice. The tool is only able to collect public information, which is a gray area when it comes to privacy.
However, I can’t help but wonder how long practices like this will be useful with regulations such as GDPR placing more importance on user privacy and data collection methods.
Also, it should be noted that this feature will cost you credits, and you’ll have to pay credits to find the emails and again to verify them.
Drip Campaigns
Drip campaigns are extremely useful to most businesses, especially those that use cold email tactics. While they can be very valuable, they can also be a challenge to manage without the proper tools.
I was relieved that Snov.io has drip campaign features to make this process much more manageable. With Snov.io, you can launch unlimited drip campaigns monthly on any of their plans, including the free version. However, each plan has a limit on the number of campaign recipients each month.
You can also set trigger sequences that automatically send an email once a certain action is triggered. For example, you can set a trigger that automatically sends users a welcome email when they first enter your pipeline.
Or you can set a trigger to follow up with the client at a set interval after they make the purchase for feedback and support.
In addition to these features, Snov.io also has many others that demonstrate how focused the tool is on email campaigns and lead generation. Some of the additional features you’ll find useful for managing your drip campaigns include:
- A/B testing
- Email content checker
- AI email writer
- Detailed email statistics
- Email placement test to avoid landing in spam
- Bounce rate tracking
- More
Available Integrations
On their website, Snov.io mentions they have integrations with more than 5000 different apps to add more functionality to the CRM. On top of these integrations, Snov.io also has an API for custom integrations.
Some of the integrations that Snov.io supports include:
- Pipedrive
- Hubspot
- Calendly
- Microsoft Outlook
- Gmail
- Close
- LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms
- Facebook Lead Ads
- Slack
- Trello
- Intercom
- Twilio
Pricing Plan
Snov.io offers four different subscription plans for users. Businesses can choose to pay on a monthly basis, or annually and when choosing the latter they can enjoy a small discount. Your subscription can also be upgraded, downgraded, or canceled anytime. This makes it convenient to scale the tool as your company grows.
I have to admit that I’m not fond of their credit model. With Snov.io, you only get a limited number of monthly credits, even on the most expensive plans. These credits are required to use features like prospect search, email search, and email verification.
This means that businesses can easily pay more than they expect or budgeted when they need to buy more credits. It should also be noted that you can’t send emails unless the email account is verified, which means you are forced to use your credits and eventually purchase more as your business grows.
That being said, let’s look at each plan individually and what they include.
Free Plan
Snov.io’s free plan is sometimes called a trial by their website. This is probably because the features are so limited, it wouldn’t really be of use to most businesses. However, it does give an excellent overview of how the tool works before choosing a paid plan.
Here are some of the features included with the free plan:
- 50 credits/month
- 100 email recipients
- One mailbox warm-up
- Unlimited follow-ups
- Email finder and verifier
- Unlimited campaigns
- Only Hubspot and Pipedrive integrations
Starter Plan
The Starter plan is more beneficial to small businesses as it has more reasonable limitations. It’s ideal for businesses that want to set up steady sales.
The plan is $39/month, but when you choose to pay annually, you can enjoy a small discount. When paying annually, the cost for Snov.io’s Starter plan comes to $30/month.
Here are some of the features that the Starter plan includes:
- 1000 credits per month
- 5000 email recipients
- Three mailbox warm-ups
- Bulk lead search and verification
- AI email assistant
- All integrations and API
- Personal Implementation Manager
- 24/7 support
Pro Plan
The pro plan is better suited to teams that require more email functionality such as email finders and A/B testing. It’s also the first Snov.io plan that has a shared sales CRM dashboard so that your teams can collaborate better.
The Pro plan is $99/month when you pay monthly. However, if you opt to pay annually, you can enjoy a slight discount, which equates to $75/month.
Here are some of the features that the Pro plan includes:
- 5000 credits
- 10,000 email recipients
- Unlimited mailbox warm-ups
- Email A/B testing
- Individual member statistics
- Team permissions and controls
- Team data sharing
Is Snov.io Easy to Use?
I found Snov.io very easy to set up and start using immediately. There’s no complex or time-consuming onboarding process like some of the competitors. That being said, it also means if you’re not technically inclined or used to working with these types of tools, it can seem a little overwhelming initially.
Initially I was a little shocked when I first opened Snov.io as it was very bare. I had to spend some time setting up my pipelines and importing my existing contacts before I really got a sense of the tool. This could feel daunting to new users.
However, once I took those steps, using the tool was very straightforward. I could easily manage deals as they moved across the pipelines. One of the first things I did was install the Email Finder Extension for Chrome so that I could test its lead/prospect sourcing abilities. Using the extension was quick; within a few minutes, I’d already added more leads to my pipeline.
When it comes to training resources, I was pleasantly surprised at the wide range of options available with Snov.io. They offer a training academy that offers crash courses to help teams improve sales. There’s also a Help Center where you can find answers to some of your questions related to how Snov.io works, along with step-by-step guides on using the various features.
During my review I did find that there were a few bugs. For example, the email database took a while to update, which was a little frustrating. I also noticed when adding custom fields to my contacts, these aren’t always included when I create email campaigns.
This limits the personalization a bit. However, these are minor inconveniences that are easily resolved through technical support.
Snov.io Customer Service
Before we even start rating Snov.io customer support, it should be noted that 24/7 support is only available on paid plans. Also, when I began my review and looked at previous reviews of the tool, I was a little apprehensive. Some recent reviews mentioned that the support team was slow to respond and often didn’t address or resolve the issue.
Luckily, I never take these reviews as facts because my own experience with Snov.io was much different. Before even signing on, I asked a few questions about the live chat feature on their website. Within less than a minute, I received a response.
The agent assisting me was very helpful and knowledgeable. He could answer all of my questions quickly and without any holdups.
I also experienced the same level of satisfaction when I started using the tool and reached out to customer support for assistance. So, in my personal opinion, Snovio’s customer support is great. They respond quickly, and the support staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
